What we are doing to protect our felines, staff and you.

Cat Protection Society is taking steps to protect the health and welfare of our staff, volunteers and felines during the current coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. We are continuing to offer feline veterinary care and adoptions and ask our clients to support us in doing this by:

  • Not coming in if you are feeling unwell
  • Using the hand sanitiser provided when you enter, between interacting with each cat/kitten and when you leave the premises
  • Maintain a safe distance from other people
  • Reschedule your appointment or ask a family member to bring in your feline for a Veterinary appointment if you are unwell.
  • Not entering the adoption rooms unless you are looking to adopt.

We have wonderful members of the public who come in on a regular basis to spend time with our felines, these visits unfortunately must be suspended indefinitely.

We operate on minimal staff and volunteers consisting of a very wide demographic from young adults to seniors. As with any family unit, we have staff and volunteers who have compromised immune systems as well as their immediate family. The health of our Veterinary and Shelter team and volunteers is vital to the care of our felines.

We hope all of our community understand the steps we are taking to protect our staff, volunteers and felines.

Please forgive us for not shaking your hand when you come in.
