Found Cats

The lost and stray cats and kittens displayed on this page are being held on behalf of Banyule City Council and Nillumbik Shire Council.  By law we cannot take stray cats or kittens from any other Council area. 

We will keep them for at least the required eight days while trying to find their owners. After this time, or if they are reunited, they will be removed from this page.

Many unclaimed cats and kittens will be suitable for rehoming through our adoption center whilst other cats and kittens may require some time in foster care.

If you have lost your cat, we recommend regularly checking our Found Cats database. If your cat is microchipped, we will also attempt to contact you on the details as provided on your microchip database. If you see your cat pictured, please contact our Shelter as soon as possible on 03 8457 6500 or by emailing info@catprotection.com.au
