We adopted Abby for our aged care facility and she’s doing very well. She looks so happy and is making many people very happy. She has her own room but also enjoys exploring the facility which she’s getting used to. I’ve never seen a female cat that is so affectionate. She loves being patted and playing with her toys.
Hello Cat Protection Society,
Just thought I would give you guys a quick update on how Murphy has been since we adopted him a couple of weeks ago. He has settled into our place well and we couldn’t imagine our lives without him! He’s still incredibly friendly and loves to be included on any social activities in the household, and has definitely sussed out a few of his favourite hang out spots! I’ve attached a few photos for your viewing pleasure (it’s pretty difficult to get nice pics of him because he doesn’t sit still til he’s completely pooped!) and you can also keep up on his progress on Instagram @robocatmurphy.
Mini has been at the Shelter for ages. For some reason she always gets overlooked and the more outgoing, cuter, younger cats and kittens were adopted over her. So we tried fostering her out. And the results speak for themselves. Her foster family say “As you can see she’s really come out of her shell since she’s been with us.”
Mini has flourished in her new surroundings, and we think she’s the cutest thing around! This is just a practice run for Mini until she finds her permanent forever home.
So if you’re thinking of adopting, take a chance on the more reserved cat, or a cat that doesn’t instantly come up to you for a pat; they may just be holding back to really make sure you’re the one for them. They’ll give you a chance if you give them their second chance at a happy and fulfilling life. ADOPT! In fact, ADOPT MINI!
An update from Regina’s Foster Family. We’re stoked at her progress and can’t wait to see her find her forever home. She’s been with us for 852 days now, please share Reg’s story so it doesn’t turn into longer!
“Regina is a totally different cat to the one we met at the shelter. Since she has settled in she has warmed up and is now an outgoing lap cat. Each night she’ll say good night with a cuddle on our bed and in the morning she’ll come and say hello from outside our bedroom door. She loves playing with her ball, lazing in the sun, sitting with us wherever we are and getting belly rubs. Every night we come home she’s waiting at the door for us and greets us with cuddles and a chat. She likes meeting new people and her favourite spot to sit is as close to your face as possible. We love Regina very much and hope she can find her forever home very soon.”
If you’re interested in adopting Regina, please call us on 8457 6500 or email email@example.com
We are days away from demolition commencing and still discovering treasures! We have an Antique Singer Sewing Machine for sale @ $150.00 it has been hidden away from site in the back of a store room. Perfect project for someone who likes to restore (we have no idea if it works).
Phoenix, previously Josie, has made herself very at home here with us and everyone in the household has fallen completely in love with her.
She is the sweetest, affectionate little thing.
We are all so pleased.
The kids have been beautiful with her, asking if they can touch her back and tail, knowing how much pain out previous cat (Sparkles) was in and they were surprised they could pat her all over.
We are all very surprised how fast she can run and how high she can leap. It’s a whole new learning for our family.
Thank you so much for this precious little addition to our family.
WHERE ARE THEY NOW
A year ago today a sweet little guy by the name of Nacho Bandido stuck his paw out of his enclosure and we knew we had found our newest family member. (Funny how you think you’re the one who chooses the cat!). Now known as Childermass, this little kitty brings cuddles and purrs to us every day. How lucky we are to have found him.
Thank you for the wonderful work you do CPS!
Hello Cat Protection Society team,
We are so lucky to get this popular kitten, now named Amadeus Yoda. He is growing and growing up so quickly!
He is a bit of a traveler, happily shuttling between 2 households without fuss. He’s got his own little travel backpack that allows him to check out the world or snuggle in for a snooze. He goes everywhere with us – shops and all! He loves his walks and does some tree-climbing every so often. Recently, he has taken up running on his walks! Might have a dog-cat on our hands 🙂
He’s our best snuggle buddy and our favourite little clown.
Thanks so much for the information and the patience with our questions!
Yinn and Marc
