What a Day Out in Werribee!

Happy Thursday!

On Sunday, September 11th, The Cat Protection Society had the honour of hosting a stall at the Wyndham Pet Expo in Werribee. The sun was shining and the pet lovers were out in force with dogs galore, as well as a few odd pets (like an Eclectus parrot). Alison, Jo, and Kylie were swamped by kids wanting balloons and stamps, while simultaneously promoting positive messages about cat welfare. Our behaviourist Natalya was also on site to answer any behaviour-related questions. We thank those who came to our stall for a chat, as well as those who let us cuddle their dogs!!

Be sure to come and visit our next stall at Nillumbik Pet Expo on Sunday, October the 23rd.

WHERE ARE THEY NOW – Ruby

Just letting you know that we are enjoying having Ruby in our home.  It is taking her a little while to get used to everything but she does what and when she pleases (as all cats do).

Thanks again for her.

Kind regards
Marie and David

Have you met Regina?

Have you met Regina?
Regina has been waiting at the Shelter for her forever home for 814 days!!!! Yes you read that right 814 days and we are determined to find Regina a home ASAP.
If you have been here Regal Regina was the magnificent tabby that was always in the Catnip Enclosure, she would give you the cute look and a little meow to get you to come over to her. She would then more often than not either give you a nip or a wack with her paw! We always knew there was a beautiful nature inside her but how to bring it out? Idea “Let try a foster home” as Regina will never cope in a condo when we move into the portables.

Regina has been in her foster home for 2 weeks and what a change! No nips, no wacks, no problem, she is in her element. Please help us find Regina her own perfect permanent lap to keep warm. Regina is 9 years old, she would love to be your only feline favourite, and you guessed it children are not in Regina’s plans.regina2

Where are they now – PATCHES

Hello!

3 weeks ago we adopted a blue, cream and white skinned DSH kitten that we have now named Patches. She is very playful and affectionate and she is loving her new home. She especially loves to sit on our couch with the sun warming her up. Here are some pictures of her. We hope you enjoy 🙂
