To workers at the Cat Protection Society
My family and I adopted a little kitten from your shelter on the 22nd of May and I
thought I would send you an up date on him and some photos. We adopted a
little male black and white kitten. On the ride home we
decided that we would call him Indi (Indiana when he is naughty), yes after
Indiana Jones. When we got him home he looked around and played with a toy
under the table for most of the afternoon, however; there was a little incident
where he went missing for about half an hour but we found him under the bed!
He was a little unsure about us for most of the day but he ate some food and
used his tray to go to the toilet so we figured so he settled in nicely. We decided
that like our last cat, Indi would be able-to-sleep-en beds.so on the first night he
Slept on mum and dad’s bed for the whole night. On the second day: he explored
the house and became friendlier with us. That night he slept with me on my
pillow and since then he mostly sleeps ,with me either on my pillow/head, down
the bottom of the bed or on the suitcase under my bed. I often go to sleep with
purring in my ear! He is eating well, he always appears to be hungry and he is
the first one up in morning to be fed. He loves going outside, and like his
namesake, he explores everything, from the garage roof, to under the house to
next door and up trees, he has no fear. He especially likes it when dad does the
gardening and will help out and by help I mean jumping out of bushes and onto
dad’s tools. He doesn’t like to sit on laps yet but loves pats especially under the
chin. He also loves playing foil, that is you get some aluminum foil roll it into a
ball and throw it, he goes and gets it and brings it back to you. Hours of
entertainment. He also loves our silk pillows on the couch sitting on them most
afternoons, mum calls him the sultan as you will see in the attached photo! He
loves windowsills and often watches the various family members come and go at
the back door. He is doing really well and is much loved by us all, he is a
beautiful cat and we are very glad that he has come and joined our family.

Thank you for letting us adopting him he has put the smiles back on our faces
after losing our beloved cat of 16 years. We hope to have many many years with
Indi!
Regards the Goddard family and Indi : )

Hi, my name is Rosie. I lived at the Cat Protection Society until my new owners found me in May 2011. I’m so glad I went to live with them because I sure did land on my feet (pardon the pun!). My new family takes good care of me, in fact, I’m spoiled rotten!

During the cold winter months I had my own heat bag in bed to keep me warm and spent the days lying on the heater vents.

I love food so much that on my first visit to the Vet for a check up I was told I’m too fat, so now I’m on a diet! I still try for more food though, following my human mum around meowing and begging for food (a lot!) My favourite food is chicken.

I have two human sisters (aged 2 and 5) who love to play with me and cuddle me. Sometimes they let me play with their toys or sit on their lap while we watch TV together. One of my sisters even dressed up as me at her school family day where they had to dress up as someone in the their family!

At night my human dad lets me snuggle up on his lap while he works on his computer. I’ve accidentally typed on his work a couple of times by walking across the keyboard (oops!)

I’m very curious and often try to sneak outside, but I’m an inside cat.

Love,

Rosie.

“Mango (nee Ginger Rogers) is still a little shy but settling in well. She’s a dear little cat. The photo of her on the tiger rug was the first day she came to live with us. She immediately found her chair and sleeps there every night- in the sun room. We look forward to many happy years with her”

One such ‘twitter friend’ is Natasha (follow Natasha at @natasha_is_cool ). She adopted Lenny from us 5 months ago and has tweeted to us on his progress, and a very cute pic. Lenny has definitely landed on his feet!
