Since Di’s staff pick, Alexia found her forever home recently, she has been spending some quality time with Petra, a one year old female, and would like to share with us why she thinks Petra is the bee’s knees:
Petra and I have had some time to bond over the last week. Initially I thought she was a timid ‘lone ranger’, however she has proven me wrong, especially since I have been patient with gaining her trust.
Petra is definitely a tomboy; she loves to play in the modular park with her friend Jodi, and is also quite happy to keep her own company. She is a strong willed and independent young lady, but I’ve noticed whenever I go to visit her, she will make an effort to come and say hello, or just be around me. It has taken a bit of time, and while she likes her space, she does love to play with me and get a cuddle every now and again.
I think Petra would suit any family willing to put in a little bit of time to gain her trust. She won’t come to you right away, but she will come.
